Air France and EasyJet both provide direct flights from Paris to Nice. Air France flights depart from Paris Orly Airport. EasyJet flights depart from both Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and Paris Orly Airport.
Terminal Information
Air France offer check in at the airport, online or via mobile app. Easyjet passengers must check in online or via mobile app which will store your boarding pass. There are no Easyjet check in desks at the airports.
Paris Orly Airport
Paris Orly Airport is located 13 kilometres south of Paris. There are two terminals at the airport, Terminal Sud (south) and Terminal Ouest (west). Air France flights to Nice depart from Terminal Ouest and EasyJet flights depart from Terminal Sud.
In the departures hall for both terminals, passengers will find a range of facilities including duty free and convenience stores. There is also a good selection of food outlets including Starbucks, Caviar House and Seafood Bar and Red d’Hippo. Free and unlimited Wi-Fi is available throughout both terminals and you can pay to upgrade to a faster service without ads.
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is located 25 kilometres northeast of Paris city centre. There are three terminals at the airport, with Terminal 2 divided into six separate sections. EasyJet flights to Nice depart from Terminal 2D.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminal. Other facilities in the departures lounge include a range of shopping and food outlets. There are also spa kiosks available for beauty treatments and a selection of facilities for business travellers.
Nice Airport
Nice Airport is located seven kilometres west of Nice city centre. There are two terminals at the airport. Both EasyJet and Air France flights from Paris arrive to Terminal 2.
In the arrivals hall there are information desks, cash machines, cafés and convenience stores. You’ll also find car rental desks located between gates A2 and A3. These desks close at 10pm but can you still access car hire services out of hours by heading to the Car Rental Center behind car park P5. Car hire companies based at the airport include Hertz, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Sixt and Enterprise.
Onward travel options from the airport include taxi and bus services. Taxis are located outside Gate A3 of Terminal 2. You can expect to pay €23 to €30 for a daytime journey into Nice city centre and a little more if you’re travelling between 18:00 and 07:00.
Local buses and shuttle buses are also available outside the terminal building, with 27 lines providing access to over 130 destinations. There are express shuttle buses to Nice, Monaco, Cannes and Antibes as well as coaches to ski resorts and other French cities.
What to Expect in Nice
You may find prices in Nice a little cheaper than those of Paris. However, when it comes to eating out, prices are more or less the same. A mid-range three course meal for two costs around €55.00, a bottle of beer costs around €5.00 and a cappuccino about €3.00.
Nice enjoys warm summers and mild winters. Summer temperatures often reach the high twenties and beyond but coastal breezes cool things down nicely during the evening. Winter temperatures are also pleasant, with averages of around 12°c during the day and around 5°c overnight. Nice is generally a couple of degrees warmer than Paris and, apart from during autumn months, experiences a lot less rain too.
