The terminal has a narrow selection of stores, like Ale-Hop and Fashion Gate, where you can find basic travel necessities and general accessories such as sunglasses and bags.

There are two coaches from Faro Airport to the centre of the city, which is about 2.5 miles away. Taxis are available for hire inside the airport. Be aware that taxis charge extra for oversized baggage. If you wish to drive yourself, several car hire companies operate out of Faro Airport. A number of agencies provide shuttle service between the airport and various locations around Faro if you're travelling on a budget.

In January, Porto experiences its coldest weather with average daytime highs of 13 °C. Faro's average high temperature in January and February hovers around 16 °C.

Once you arrive in Faro, expect to spend about the same amount of money on consumer goods and services. Eating out at a restaurant will cost about 25% more while buying groceries to cook yourself will cost less than in Porto.
