Where to Stay in Lisbon

Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal, is a community that dates back to the 8th century B.C. It is one of the few western European cities that faces the Atlantic Ocean - much of the city is perched on hillsides with excellent views. It is a lively, contemporary location with plenty of attractions and activities. The city's layout is stretched along the northern bank of the Tejo river, which flows into the Atlantic Ocean. The city centre is the most popular destination within Lisbon where people can stroll down the Praca do Comercio. Lower Town is a grid of pedestrian-friendly streets in the hills above the city centre. While it is possible to easily find hotels in Lisbon, hotels near the airport maintain especially high standards. They are conveniently located to both the airport and the city.

Lisbon reminds me of my home city of San Francisco, but that's not the only reason I love it. It's an incredible place to explore, from the history to architecture to food -- and doesn't break the bank. Love it there.

Incredible place with unique history. Worth to come back to keep exploring. For such a small country there is quite a lot to see. Highly recommend LX Factory in Lisbon. Don’t forget to visit Sintra as well which is relatively close to Lisbon.
