Terminal Information – Departing

There's only one terminal at Newcastle Airport, so it's easy to find your way to the right departure gate. When you fly to Spain you can take advantage of tax free shopping, and Newcastle Airport has plenty of places where you can do just that. Pick up some luxuries at Cuba Lily Duty Free, visit high street favourites like JD Sports and Accessorize, or grab some last minute essentials in Boots and WHSmith.

If you're feeling peckish you'll find plenty of places to indulge before you fly. Tuck into locally sourced food at Cabin, enjoy a coffee and a cake at Starbucks, or enjoy some baked goods from Greggs. If you just fancy a tipple you can pop into The Beer House. Craft ale is the specialty here, and smokers can enjoy a quick puff in the outdoor area.

Add a dash of luxury to your airport experience by checking into the Aspire Lounge. Lounge tickets can be purchased online in advance which include snacks, drinks and unlimited Wi-Fi. Parents will be happy to find plenty of children's entertainment inside, too. If you fancy a treat but don't want to book into the lounge you can enjoy a quick pre-holiday manicure at Aerospa.

Terminal Information – Arriving

It doesn't matter which terminal your airline lands at: baggage collection and passport control are both located in Terminal 3. Every international passenger is transferred to the terminal after landing. There's plenty of public transport available from Terminal 3. There are bus stops and a train station just outside. It only takes 12 minutes to reach central Malaga by train, and tickets are available for purchase at the airport or online. Bus A also serves the city, but is slightly more expensive. There are also taxi ranks outside each terminal, and car hire desks inside. If you've decided to drive during your holiday, remember to compare car hire prices at Malaga Airport before you book.

Practical Information

You need a valid passport to travel from Newcastle to Malaga. It's best to arrive at the airport about 90 minutes before departure. This gives you plenty of time to check your bags in and get through security.
