Terminal Information – Departing

Manchester Airport has three terminals, and is the busiest British airport outside London. Jet2 and Thomas Cook Airlines depart from terminal 1, while Tui and Monarch Airlines depart from terminal 2. Both terminals have one hour of free Wi-Fi for guests, and both have an Escape Lounge. The lounges are very popular, and booking ahead is recommended. Entry price is £21* if booked in advance and £25* on the day. You can book online at Manchester Airport's website.

Terminal 1 has a huge rage of shops, including: Biza Duty Free, Fat Face, Accessorize, Boots, Dixon's Travel, WH Smith, The Body Shop, and Zoodle. There are also plenty of places to grab a bite to eat or a quick drink. They include Mi Casa Burritos, Starbucks, Bar MCR, The Pasty Shop, Greggs, Giraffe, Burger King and Cafe Balzar.

Terminal 2 has a smaller selection. As well as Biza Duty Free, WH Smith and Boots, terminal 2 also has a Next, Lacoste and Attitude. There's also a Cloud Spa in this terminal, for a quick pre-flight treatment. Places to eat include Caffe Nero, Broderick's, Spinning Jenny and The Observatory Bar.

Terminal Information – Arriving

Grenoble Airport is about 25 miles from the centre of Grenoble. It takes about 35 minutes to reach the city by coach. Coaches run a few times a day and tickets cost €12.50*. There are also various ski shuttles serving the nearby resorts. Ben's Bus offer shuttles to and from the resorts every weekend. Hertz, Sixt, Thrifty, Avis and Europcar offer car hire at Grenoble Airport, and are located in their own building opposite the terminal. Note that limited hours are in place outside of the winter high-season, so it's worth booking ahead.

You need a valid passport to fly to Grenoble from Manchester. We recommend arriving at Manchester Airport no later than 90 minutes before scheduled departure.

What to expect in Grenoble
