Terminal Information – Departing
Liverpool Airport has one terminal. In the departure lounge you'll find lots of places to grab a bite to eat or drink. There's a Starbucks if you need a caffeine fix, and a Wetherspoons if you need a pre-flight tipple. Snack options include Burger King, but there are also restaurants like Frankie & Benny's. Boots, WH Smith, JD Sports and World Duty Free are on-hand if you feel like a bit of retail therapy. There's a blow-dry and beauty bar at the airport too. There's an Aspire lounge at Liverpool Airport, with unlimited Wi-Fi and a range of complimentary snacks. Lounge access starts at £19.99* per adult.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Flights from Liverpool land in Terminal 1, which is dedicated to non-Schengen arrivals and departures. The airport is 12 miles away from the city centre. There's no metro station at the airport but you can take a bus to the nearest one. Buy your ticket from the DPP kiosk in the arrivals hall, the public transport kiosks in the terminal, or the vending machines beside the bus stop. The same ticket can be used on all public transportation for the validity period. When you buy your ticket you can choose from 30 minutes, 90 minutes, or three days: a good choice if you're visiting for the weekend. You need to validate the ticket before boarding by stamping it at the machine. If you want to take the Airport Express Bus you will need to buy a different ticket, which costs CZK 60* (about £1.70). The bus stops at three destinations in the city centre: Hlavní Nádraží, Masarykovo Nádraží, and Náměstí Republiky. Taxis are also available from outside the terminal, and usually charge around CZK 400-800* (roughly £11.50-£23). Car hire at Prague Airport is available through Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Sixt, Rent Plus, Dvorak Rent a Car and Czechocar. Remember to compare prices with Skyscanner.

A valid passport is required to fly from Liverpool to Prague. Try to arrive at the airport 90 minutes before your flight is scheduled to depart.
What to expect in Prague
Prague is one hour ahead of Liverpool and the currency is the Czech Koruna (CZK). Prices in Prague are very low, especially for food and alcohol. In some bars you'll find beer is cheaper than water. Prague has warm summers and freezing winters, with temperatures frequently dropping below 0°C.
