Terminal Information – Arriving
Derry Airport is situated roughly 7 miles northeast of the city. Ulsterbus and Translink offer public transport between the airport and the city centre. Buses terminate at Foyle Street station, the city's main transport hub. The journey time from the airport to the city centre is approximately 30-40 minutes. Bus Eireann offers bus connects between Derry Airport and destinations in the Republic of Ireland. For a speedier connection to the city centre, there is a dedicated taxi rank located immediately outside of the airport. The journey to the city centre by taxi takes around 20 minutes. Alternatively, car hire at Derry airport is available through Hertz, Avis, and Europcar.
Practical Information
As this is a domestic flight, you should aim to arrive at Liverpool Airport at least 90 minutes before departure. Most airlines allow you to travel to Northern Ireland without a passport as long as you have a valid form of photo ID. Double check Ryanair's terms and conditions for updates to their policy.
What to expect in Derry
