Airlines flying from Glasgow to Las Vegas

There are no direct flights from Glasgow to Las Vegas.

Flights to Las Vegas with one connection are available; British Airways and Iberia fly via London Heathrow or London Gatwick, United fly via New York Newark and Finnair fly via London Heathrow.

Terminal Information

Glasgow Airport

Passengers travelling on flights from Glasgow to Las Vegas should arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before the scheduled depart time. British Airways, United and Finnair offer online check-in up to 2 hours before the flight and check in at the airport. If you have checked in online, you will need to take any hold luggage to the bag drop desks in the main check in hall.

There are a range of shops at Glasgow Airport including Maplin, Accessorize, Sunglass Hut, Victoria's Secret, The Fashion Place and World Duty Free. Dining options include Mozzo Coffee House, Starbucks, Frankie & Benny's, Central Sports Bar & Grill and the Caledonia Bar & Restaurant.

Passengers can enjoy 1 hour of free high-speed Wi-Fi. After this the cost is £5 for 3 hours or £9 for 24 hours.

The UpperDeck Lounge is the idea place to relax before your flight, offering free Wi-Fi, a children's play area and games zone (with Xbox Ones), views of the runway and complementary drinks and snacks.

Las Vegas Airport

Las Vegas Airport (McCarran International Airport) is around 5 miles south of downtown Las Vegas. International flights normally land at Terminal 3, and options for getting into the city area include buses, shuttle buses, limos and taxis.

The RTC Bus Route 109 runs every 20-30 minutes (24 hours a day) from outside Terminal 1 to the Downtown area and The Strip – fares are around $2 USD.

The airport shuttle buses will usually take passengers to any hotel on the Strip or Downtown for between $7 USD and $9.50 USD; follow the signs from the baggage claim area on level 1.

Taxis are available from the rank outside the terminal, and you can expect to pay up to $30 USD for a journey to The Strip, more for downtown hotels.

For car rental, take the McCarran Rent-A-Car Center Shuttle Bus to the car rental centre, where you will find car rental desks for companies such as Alamo, Advantage, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Payless and Thrifty.

What to expect in Las Vegas

Las Vegas is Nevada's largest city and is often called 'the entertainment capital of the world'. It can get really hot here during the summer months, with temperatures in July averaging 40ºC. Winter is cooler, with average temperatures of around 15ºC – snow is rare. Spring and Autumn are the most pleasant months to visit Las Vegas, when temperatures range from 15 – 25ºC and there is plenty of sunshine.

Las Vegas is packed with restaurants and bars, so you'll find somewhere to suit your tastes no matter what your budget. On the whole, dining out here can be more expensive than in Glasgow, but all-you-can-eat restaurants and burger joints offer great deals – buffets are also popular here and you can enjoy a good selection of food for a reasonable price.
