Airlines that fly from Dubai to London

Five airlines currently fly direct from Dubai-International Airport to London: British Airways to Heathrow, Emirates to Gatwick and Heathrow, Qantas to Heathrow, Royal Brunei Airlines to Heathrow, and Virgin Atlantic to Heathrow. This is the busiest route from the airport, so we recommend booking your flights as early as possible. Turkish Airlines offer indirect flights (via Istanbul) from Gatwick.

Terminal Information – Departing

This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.

The majority of airlines fly to London from Terminal 1, apart from Emirates and Qantas which fly from Terminal 3. Terminal 3 has a fantastic range of luxury amenities, from spas and zen gardens to lounges and designer shops. Free Wi-Fi is available in both terminals.

Terminal Information – Arriving

At Gatwick: Emirates land at the North Terminal and Turkish Airlines land at the South Terminal. The airport's train station is located in the South Terminal so if you're flying with Emirates you will need to take the free inter-terminal shuttle. The Gatwick Express train offers a non-stop service and is the fastest way to reach central London. It costs around £20* for a single ticket and £33* for a return: it's cheaper to book your tickets in advance. Taxis are extremely expensive at around £70*. National Express and easyBus coaches offer a cheaper alternative and stop at both terminals. Pre-book your tickets for the best prices. There are car hire desks in both terminals: compare car hire at Gatwick Airport.

At Heathrow: Qantas, Virgin Atlantic and Emirates all land at Terminal 3 while British Airways land at Terminal 5. The Heathrow Express offers a 15 minute non-stop service to Paddington Station in Central London. There are stations in both terminals 3 and 5. Expect to pay about £18* for a one-way ticket. A cheaper alternative is the slower Heathrow Connect train, which takes half an hour and costs £8.50* one-way or £16.50* for an open-return ticket. The Piccadilly Line on the underground is the cheapest method of reaching the city at £5.50* (Zone 1-6 ticket). There's a taxi rank outside, expect to pay £55* to central London. London is four hours behind Dubai and the currency is the Pound Sterling (£). London is very liberal in comparison to Dubai, especially when it comes to alcohol.
