Bristol Airport is the UK 9^th busiest airport and, thanks to its size, has an excellent selection of facilities as well as places to eat, drink, and shop. Both Starbucks and Soho Coffee Company offer that all important caffeine-kick for those early morning flights. Alternatively, for a pre-flight tipple, there’s Brunel Bar & Kitchen or Cabin, both of which offer a selection of wines and craft beers.

If you need to catch up on work e-mails or research your upcoming trip to Santorini, free Wi-Fi is available for up to 60 minutes at a time. Wi-Fi access is also available in any of Bristol’s airport lounges. The Aspire Lounge, situated next to Dexter’s Restaurant in the Departure Lounge, offers complimentary soft and alcoholic drinks as well as snacks such as bacon rolls and English cream tea. Bristol Airport also has an adults-only lounge, the Aspire Lounge Plus, which offers additional luxuries like complimentary prosecco and single malt whiskeys.

Terminal Information – Arriving

Taxis are available from outside Santorini Airport. Fares aren’t fixed, and most taxis do not use meters, so it’s a good idea to agree on the price before you leave the airport. Many hotels in Santorini will also offer airport transfers although it’s usually cheaper if you arrange a taxi yourself. Car hire at Santorini Airport is definitely something to consider as bus services in Santorini are less frequent than those in Bristol and many of Santorini’s attractions as spread out across the island. A bus service is available to Fira, the island’s capital, where you can get a connecting bus to another town if you need to. Services are infrequent, usually running every 2-3 hours. For most visitors to Santorini, a hire car or taxi is the most convenient transport option.

You will need a valid passport to fly between the United Kingdom and Greece. As this is an international flight, you should aim to arrive at Bristol Airport two hours before your flight to Santorini is due to depart.
