Terminal Information – Departing
Bristol Airport has one terminal. The departure lounge has a few shops selling holiday essentials. There's a Boots and Superdrug for toiletries and medication, and a Dixon's Travel for on-the-go gadgets. There's also a JD Sports, in case you need some gym kit. Every airport departure lounge has a duty free shop, and at Bristol Airport this role is filled by World Duty Free. Dining options at the airport range from quick and easy snack bars to a slightly more relaxed gastropubs. You can enjoy a coffee and a cake at Starbucks or a takeaway burger from Burger King. If you have time to sit down over a plate of food you'll find plenty of pub grub at Dexters and The Cabin. Alternatively, If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the departure lounge, you can book into one of the executive lounges run by Aspire. The regular Aspire lounge charges £19.99* for entry while the slightly more luxurious Aspire Plus charges £29.99.* Both offer complimentary snacks and refreshments as well as unlimited Wi-Fi access.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Dusseldorf Airport has excellent public transport connections. It takes about ten minutes to reach the city's main train station (Hauptbahnhof) using suburban trains S7 or S11. You can catch these from the airport S-bahn station. Tickets cost €2.50* (about £1.95). Buses are also available to a number of destinations in and around the city including the Hauptbahnhof (721), the exhibition centre Dusseldorf-Messe (896), Wittlaer-Bockum (760) and Nordfriedhof (SB51). We recommend checking the city's bus schedules before you travel, as the best method of transport will depend on where your accommodation in Dusseldorf is. Each arrival hall at the airport has its own taxi rank. A taxi to the city centre should cost about €22* (just over £17) and take no more than 20 minutes. Car hire is available from Avis, Buchbinder, Budget, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty and Sixt.
