Terminal Information – Departing

Birmingham Airport has one terminal, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout. There are two executive lounges, which you can pay to use. They're run by No.1 Traveller and Aspire. You can either pay on the day or book your space in advance using Birmingham Airport's website. If you'd prefer to stay in the departure hall, you'll find lots to keep you occupied. There are high-street shops like Superdry, practical stores like WH Smith, and a World Duty Free for picking up little luxuries. If you're hungry you can pick up a grab 'n' go sandwich from M&S Simply Food or Pret, or sit down for a proper meal at Frankie & Benny's. There are also plenty of places to drink, whether you're in the mood for beer (Wetherspoons), bubbly (Blanc et Noir champagne bar), coffee (Caffe Nero) or a healthy smoothie (Joe & The Juice). There's also an Aerospa, if you fancy a short pre-flight shoulder rub.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Verona International Airport is about 6.2 miles from the city centre. There are a few different options for getting into the city.
· The Aerobus runs between the airport and Porta Nuova train station in the city centre. The journey time is 15 minutes. Tickets cost €6*.
· Buses 163, 183 and 184 run a summer service from the airport to Lake Garda.
· There's a taxi rank outside the arrivals terminal.
· Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Goldcar, Sixt, Locauto, Sicily by Car, Autovia, Noleggiare and Buchbinder all offer car hire from Verona Airport.

What to expect in Verona
Verona is one hour ahead of Birmingham and the currency is the Euro (€). Thanks to Shakespeare, Verona has developed a reputation as one of the 5 most romantic cities in Italy. Unfortunately it's not a cheap destination for a date, as prices are slightly higher on average than in Birmingham. There are plenty of romantic hotels in Verona, and when you compare prices you could end up with a fantastic deal.
