Terminal Information – Departing

Birmingham Airport only has one terminal. The departure lounge is small but perfectly formed with a good range of shops and restaurants to keep you distracted. Enjoy tax free shopping in stores such as World Duty Free, Hugo Boss, Dixons Travel and Eye Love. If you're peckish you can enjoy a quick takeaway from Burger King or Deli Hub by Kebabish. If you'd rather sit down for a proper meal you can pop into Giraffe or Frankie & Benny's. Wetherspoons is great for pub grub, while Caffe Nero and Costa are ideal if you just fancy a coffee and a cake. If you're in the mood for a pre-flight drink you can nip into All Bar One or, for something really special, the Blanc et Noir champagne lounge. If you're travelling to Copenhagen for work, or just fancy a bit of extra luxury, you can check into one of the airport's two executive lounges. The Aspire Lounge and No.1 Traveller lounge both offer a wide range of complimentary snacks and drinks as well as unlimited Wi-Fi. Prices start at £21.99*, but as a rule of thumb it's more expensive to buy access on the day than in advance.

Terminal Information – Arriving

All flights land at Terminal 3, which has excellent public and private transport connections. The train station is downstairs, and it takes just over ten minutes to reach Central Station by train from the airport. You need a three zone ticket, which costs 75* DKK (about £7.25). Metro tickets cost the same, and you'll find the station at the northern tip of the terminal. This is a better option if you're planning to go straight to the city centre. Car hire is available from Avis, Budget, Sixt, Hertz, Enterprise and Europcar. Remember to compare car hire at Copenhagen Airport with Skyscanner to get the best deal. There's also a taxi rank outside Terminal 3. You can usually pay by credit card, and tips are included in the fare.

Practical Information

You need a valid passport to travel from the UK to Denmark. We recommend arriving two hours before your flight is scheduled to depart.
