Airlines that fly from Antalya to Istanbul

AtlasGlobal and Onur Air fly from Antalya to  Istanbul–Ataturk. Borajet, SunExpress and Pegasus Airlines fly from Antalya to Istanbul–Sabiha Gokcen. Turkish Airlines fly to both Istanbul airports from Antalya.

Terminal Information – Departing

This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.

Flights to Istanbul all depart from terminal 3, the domestic terminal. Wi-Fi is available from the cafe and the pub in the departure lounge. There's a smoking terrace, in case you need a cheeky puff after going through security. There are no business lounges in this terminal, and shops are very basic.

Terminal Information – Arriving

At Ataturk: There's a taxi rank outside the airport. Cabs are metered: expect to pay about 60* lira (just under £15) for a taxi to Taksim Square or Sultanahmet. If you would prefer to take public transport, an express bus runs from the airport to Taksim and Aksaray. Tickets cost 11* lira (about £2.70). The metro also calls at the airport: you need to buy tokens to use it. The journey into the city centre costs 3* lira (about 75p) and the journey takes around 45 minutes. If you want to drive, 17 companies currently offer car hire from Istanbul-Ataturk Airport.

At Sabiha Gokcen: This airport is on the Asian side of Istanbul. If your hotel is on the European side you can either take a public bus to the port and take the commuter ferry (the cheapest option). Alternatively you can take the more expensive express bus which crosses the bridge across the Bosphorus. Metered taxis and car hire are also available.

Practical Information

Although this is a domestic route we recommend bringing your passport: especially if you're a British citizen. You might be asked to show photographic ID at the boarding gate and when you check in. Aim to arrive at the airport no later than an hour before your flight to Istanbul is scheduled to depart.

What to expect in Istanbul

Prices in Istanbul are slightly higher than in Antalya.
