Terminal Information – Departing
Alicante Airport has one terminal. The departure lounge has a small but well-rounded selection of shops. You can pick up magazines and snacks at Relay, designer clothes at Your Fashion Store, luxury goods at Duty Free and sugary snacks at Sweet. If you're hungry you can grab a burger at Burger King, some Spanish nibbles at Canas Y Tapas, or some ice cream from Farggi. The airport has an executive lounge, Sala Ifach, located on the third floor. Access costs €26.50* (just under £21). Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Air Europa and Vueling both land at Terminal 1. You can catch the A1 Aerobus Express bus outside the terminal to Plaça de Catalunya in the city centre. One-way tickets are €5.90* (about £4.60). If you're heading home within 15 days you can get a return ticket for €10.20* (about £7.95). Bus 46 is a slower but cheaper option. Tickets are €2* (about £1.55) and it takes just under an hour to reach the city centre. You can take the green shuttle bus to Terminal 2 and hop on a train. The local train is quite cheap at €4.10* (about £3.20). This train passes through Barcelona and onto the suburbs, so keep an eye on the station signs. There's a taxi rank outside Terminal 1, and many hotels in Barcelona offer airport pick-up. You should expect to pay around €30-40* (£23-31) for a taxi to the city centre. There are lots of car hire companies with desks in the arrivals area, perfect if you want to get out of the city and see more of Catalonia.

Practical Information
You don't need a passport to fly on a domestic route within Spain. It's a good idea to keep your passport on you anyway, for security reasons. We recommend arriving at the airport no later than one hour before your flight is scheduled to depart. Give yourself extra time if you're flying during the summer, as the airport can be busy with holidaymakers.
