Santa Rosa is a busy small town with a few nice restaurants, lovely parks, a huge mall and a transit station. It's not as nice as I thought it would be, and there certainly are a lot of cars. I usually just come here for Russian River Brewing, which is amazing.
A sleepy town, but the center of Sonoma County. A great hub to the rest of the area. it is 15 minutes away from almost everything.
Santa Rosa isn't someplace you'd go out of your way to see but if you find yourself there, there are plenty of hidden gems. Visit Annadel State Park, see the Luther Burbank Gardens, visit the street market during the summer months, or take in some of the quirky spas, wineries, or restaurants that the region is famous for.
It is home.
