Terminal Information

Logan International Airport

Boston Airport, known as Boston Logan International Airport has four terminals (A, B, C and E). Delta flights to London depart from Terminal A and British Airways, Norwegian and  Virgin Atlantic flights depart from Terminal E. Logan Airport recommends that passengers on international flights arrive at the airport at least three hours before their departure time to ensure there's enough time for security checks and locating your boarding gate. All airlines flying from Boston to London offer standard airport or online check-in.

Terminal A at Logan Airport is home to Dunkin' Donuts, Lucky's, Starbucks, Sbarro, Wendy's, Duty Free Americas, NewsLink, L'Occitane, a few other brands and a children's play area. Terminal E has a similar selection of cafes and restaurants alongside shops such as Hudson, Hugo Boss, Kiehl's and Michael Kors. Both terminals take part in the Public Art Program and there are inspiring art exhibitions from artists and the community throughout the terminals.

London Heathrow Airport

London Heathrow Airport has four terminals. Delta and Virgin Atlantic flights arrive into Terminal 3 and British Airways flights from Boston arrive into Terminal 5.

Both Terminal 3 and 5 have train and London Underground stations, as well as car hire desks and bus stops outside of the terminal buildings. There are two train services available from Heathrow into London. The Heathrow Express takes just 15 minutes and is a direct service to Paddington service which departs from the airport at regular 15 minute intervals. A single fare starts at £27 if purchased on the train, with cheaper tickets available for those who book in advance. The Heathrow Connect service to Paddington is slightly longer at 30-40 minutes but does have a number of stops at stations in West London on the route. A single journey will cost £10.20.

The London Underground stations at Heathrow Airport operate on the Piccadilly Line and services depart, at most every 10 minutes. It will take around an hour to reach Central London with stops at key stations such as Piccadilly Circus and Kings Cross St Pancras.  You will need to purchase a Zone 1 ticket to reach Central London stations, this will cost £5.70 and is the cheapest way to travel from Heathrow to London.

London Gatwick Airport

London Gatwick Airport has two terminals, Norwegian flights from Boston arrive into the South Terminal.

The Gatwick Airport Train Station is located in the South Terminal, so you will have a short walk to the train station where you can take a number of train services into London and the south of England such as Brighton. The Gatwick Express offers a quick and direct service into London Victoria Station, with a journey time of 30 minutes and departures every 15 minutes. A single fare is £19.90.

Alternatively, you can hire a car from Gatwick Airport, or if you're travelling into the local area taxis are available. Taxis into Central London (Victoria Station) can be expensive at £100, and take over an hour especially during rush hour and the Gatwick Express train is much cheaper, and quicker.
