Airlines that fly from Paris to Munich
Air France, Lufthansa and Lufthansa CityLine fly direct to Munich from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. Transavia fly from Orly.
Terminal Information – Departing
This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.
From Charles de Gaulle: Lufthansa and Lufthansa CityLine both fly from terminal 1, while Air France depart from terminals 2E and 2F. Both terminals have a wide range of designer and duty free shops along with restaurants and coffee shops.
From Orly: Transavia flights depart from the south (sud) terminal. Shops in the terminal include the usual fashion, duty free and pharmacies. There's also a cigar store, a shop selling gastronomic treats from France and a creative toy shop. There are more places to eat before security, so we recommend eating before heading through to the departure lounge. There are four places to eat in the departure lounge: Paul, La Malle a Cafe, Le Meli-Melo and Bert's RCI.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Air France flights usually land at terminal 1 while Lufthansa (and Lufthansa CityLine) land at terminal 2. The terminals are separated by the MAC Centre shopping mall, so you can easily walk from one to the other. Taxis from Munich Airport to the city centre are quite expensive, but luckily the airport is well connected by public transport. The easiest way to reach downtown is using the S-bahn (suburban train) lines S1 and S8, which both go to Munich Central Station. Lufthansa also have an airport shuttle which passengers on all airlines can use. Tickets cost about the same as an S-bahn ticket. If you've always wanted to try driving on the Autobahn you might want to consider car hire at Munich Airport.
Practical Information
Munich and Paris are both within the Schengen Area so you don't need a passport to travel between them. You may be asked to show some photographic ID at the departure gate, so we recommend bringing your passport anyway. Try to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before your flight is set to depart.
