Airlines that fly from London to Dortmund
Two airlines currently offer direct flights from London to Dortmund: Ryanair from London-Stansted, and easyJet from London-Luton.
Terminal Information – Departing
Both airports only have one terminal.
From Luton: Luton Airport has a good range of places to eat, shop and relax. There's a Cloud Nails for glamorous travellers, and a newly refurbished Aspire Lounge if you're looking for a bit of extra luxury. The airport has a good range of high-street shops as well as airport essentials like Aelia Duty Free. Dining options range from quick and easy takeaways to relaxing restaurants. There's also a Starbucks and a Krispy Kreme, perfect for grab 'n' go caffeine and sugar hits.
From Stansted: the departure lounge at Stansted Airport has a great variety of dining and shopping options. Pick up some beauty bargains at The Body Shop and World Duty Free, or treat the kids to a gift from Hamley's. Dining options range from posh nosh (James Martin Kitchen, Halo Fizz Bar) to quick and easy (Burger King, Itsu). There's an Escape Lounge at the airport, ideal for doing a bit of work or just chilling out.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Dortmund Airport has excellent public transport connections. There's a shuttle bus to Central Station: the trip takes around half an hour and one-way tickets cost €7.50* (just under £6). Alternatively you can take the 440 bus to the Aplerbeck U-bahn station and continue the journey into town on the U47 train. There's also a bus to Holzwickede Station, where you can get an onward train into the city. There's a taxi rank at the airport, and you can expect to spend about €25* (roughly £19.50) for a taxi into the city centre. Taxis are metered, so prices will vary depending on how far you're going and what time of day you're travelling.
