Where to Stay in Dortmund

Dortmund is a business hub in Germany known throughout Europe for its technological innovations. Major attractions in the city include Dortmund U-Tower, Florianturm and the German Football Museum, but we've got lots of suggestions for things to see and do. Inside Dortmund U-Tower, you can view Museum Ostwall's contemporary art exhibits. The tower itself has a characteristic "U" on top of it. Florianturm, also called Florian Tower, is a landmark named after St. Florian. The city centre and Kreuzviertel are two main areas where you'll find hotels in Dortmund. In the city centre, you'll see many historic buildings such as the Altes Stadthaus, Krügerpassage and Reinoldikirche. Kreuzviertel is a trendy area with pubs, restaurants and shops. If you fly to Dortmund, you'll probably land at the Dortmund Airport (DTM). There are also hotels near the airport you could stay at.

I recommend this city for all football (soccer) lovers. I went there to see a BVB football match and the whole city was all about the game. It wasn’t some kind of a final, just an ordinary game, but the stadium was full with supporters singing and jumping through the 90 minutes of the game and after. In addition in Dortmund is located the national football museum of Germany so if you are into football you’re going to like it!
