Terminal Information – Departing

Exeter Airport has one terminal. The departure lounge has a bar if you need a pre-flight tipple, and a coffee shop if you need a bit of energy. There's a restaurant if you're hungry and a World Duty Free shop if you fancy a bit of a browse. You can escape the bustle of the departure lounge by checking into the airport's Executive Lounge. Entry costs £17.50* and is available to every passenger, regardless of airline.

Terminal Information – Arriving

Air France, Swiss, Iberia and KLM all land at terminal 1. Aer Lingus land at terminal 2a. Both terminals are well served by public transport and taxis. Note than many hotels in Barcelona and the surrounding area offer airport pick-up. Taxis from Barcelona Airport to the city centre should cost you around €30-40* (£23-31).  Taxi prices in Spain are more expensive on weekends and at night (between 10pm and 6am). There are two express buses serving the airport: Aerobus A1 and Aerobus A2, which both go to Placa de Catalunya in the city centre. Single tickets cost €5.90* (about £4.60) while a 15 day return ticket costs €10.20* (about £7.95). There's also a train station in terminal 2, which you can get to using the green coach from terminal 1. The suburban train line runs through Barcelona and tickets cost €4.10* (about £3.20). Car hire reception desks are located in both terminals, ideal if you're looking into car hire at Barcelona Airport.

Practical Information

You need a valid passport to fly from Exeter to Barcelona. We recommend arriving at the airport at least 90 minutes before your flight is scheduled to depart, giving yourself extra time if you're travelling during the school holidays or bringing hold luggage.

What to expect in Barcelona
