Rome Fiumicino: Alitalia flights leave from Terminals 1 and 3; British Airways, Monarch Airlines, Vueling and Norwegian Air Shuttle depart from Terminal 3; easyJet fly from Terminal 2. Italians take their food and fashion seriously, and you'll find a fantastic range of both shops and eateries in all three terminals.

Rome Ciampino: This airport only has one terminal. There's a duty free shop and a few places to grab a bite. There's a Boingo hotspot if you need Wi-Fi access.

Terminal Information – Arriving

City: Take the DLR (Docklands Light Railway) to connect with the underground system. Trains arrive at the airport every 8-15 minutes. You can also take bus routes 473 and 474 to the city centre. Expect to pay significantly more if you choose to take a taxi to Covent Garden.

Gatwick: British Airways, easyJet and Vueling all land at the North Terminal while Norwegian land at the South Terminal. The non-stop Gatwick Express train is the fastest way to reach Victoria train station in Central London. It's usually the cheapest if you book tickets in advance. The train station is in the South Terminal, which you can reach using the free inter-terminal shuttle service. Coaches and taxis serve both terminals: expect to pay a hefty price for a taxi into the city centre.

Heathrow: The Heathrow Express is the fastest way to reach Paddington Station in Central London. It leaves from Terminals 1, 3 and 5 and the journey takes 15 minutes. You can also catch the Heathrow Connect train from the same stations. This takes half an hour and costs slightly less. The cheapest way to reach the city centre is by tube, using the Piccadilly Line. If you're feeling flush you can take a taxi. Coaches are also available.

Luton: The airport doesn't have its own train station, but you can take a free shuttle bus to Luton Airport Parkway ten minutes away. Train tickets cost £13.50* with a journey time of 20 minutes. Coaches also serve the airport: we recommend booking your tickets in advance.

Stansted: The Stansted Express to Liverpool Street is the fastest way to reach central London. Coaches serve the airport, and there's a taxi rank.
