Terminal Information
Nice Airport
Nice Cote d'Azur Airport has two terminals, both Air France and Easyjet flights to Paris depart from Terminal 2. Easyjet offer online or mobile check-in only which is available from 30 days to two hours before your flight departure time. Air France offer online check-in and check-in desks at the airport. If you're travelling to Paris Charles de Gaulle with Air France check-in desks close 30 minutes before the flight, if you're travelling to Paris Orly check-in closes 20 minutes before the flight. If you have checked in online and have hold luggage you must check it in at the bag drop desks before these closing times.
The shops in the departure lounge Nice Airport are Aelia Duty Free, Relay, Michael Kors, Hour Passion and additional fashion brands. Places to eat and drink include Le Badiane, Costa Coffee, and L'Escale.
A VIP lounge is available in the terminal, entry is €26 and offers snacks, drinks, and free Wi-Fi access.
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is the main international airport serving Paris and is located 30km north east of the city centre. Terminal 2 is divided into 7 lettered sections, Easyjet flights arrive into Terminal 2D and Air France flights arrive into Terminal 2F.
There are lots of easy connections available into Paris. The Aeroport Charles de Gaulle TGV station is a short walk from the Arrivals Hall. Here you can take services on both the RER B and TGV lines into Paris. A journey into Paris is around 30 minutes and a single ticket is €9.75.
A taxi into Paris will cost €50-70 depending on the time of travel and your ultimate destination. If you'd prefer your own transport you can hire a car from the airport with Avis, Hertz, Europcar and other international car hire brands located in the Car Rental Center, a short walk from both terminals.
Paris Orly Airport
Paris Orly Airport is 17km to the south of Paris city centre. Easyjet flights arrive into the South Terminal/Sud Terminal and Air France flights from Nice arrive into the West Terminal/Ouest Terminal.
If you're hiring a car from Orly Airport the car hire desks for Sixt, Avis and others are located in Terminal Ouest, if you're arriving into Terminal Sud there is a shuttle service available between the terminals..
Train services are available on the RER line B which can be reached by the Orlyval shuttle train. There are also a number of local bus services running from the airport. The Orlybus departs from both Terminals and into Paris (Denfert-Rochereau Station) with a journey time of around 30 minutes.
What to expect in Paris
Paris is known as one of the world's most expensive cities so it will come as no surprise that many of the costs in Paris are more expensive than what you would be paying in Nice. Public transport, coffee and wine are all around 20% more expensive, despite this eating out is around the same price at €50 for a three course meal for two.
