Terminal Information – Departing

Ryanair fly to Eindhoven from terminal 3. This is the airport's most basic terminal, but it still has everything you need to relax and unwind before your flight. There's a Biza Duty Free for luxury goods, a Boots (in case you forgot to pack your toothpaste) and a Dixons Travel for last minute essentials (such as travel adapter plugs). There's also an Accessorize. There are two coffee shops in the departure lounge, Caffe Nero and Costa. There's an Upper Crust if you only have time for a quick bite, but if you have a bit longer to spend you can sit down for an Italian dinner at Trattoria Milano. Like all of the terminals at Manchester Airport, terminal 3 has an Escape Lounge which is available to passengers on all airlines for a fee. We recommend booking your space in the lounge well in advance, as it can book up quickly: especially during the summer. The lounge offers a range of complimentary refreshments, free Wi-Fi and a peaceful environment: perfect if you have some work to get on with before your flight to Eindhoven.

Terminal Information – Arriving

Eindhoven Airport only has one terminal. There are two buses and an airport shuttle which run between the airport and the city centre. Tickets on buses 400 and 401 cost €3.50* (about £2.75) each way. Buses leave the airport every ten minutes and take 20 minutes to reach the city centre. The airport shuttle is slightly faster: you can buy your tickets from the dedicated kiosk inside the arrival hall. The AirExpress coach goes to Amsterdam, Utrecht and 's-Hertogenbosch. Car hire at Eindhoven Airport is available from Europcar, Avis, Hertz, Budget, Green Motion and Sixt. Their desks are located in the dedicated car hire office, a short walk from the terminal.

You need a valid passport to fly to Eindhoven from Manchester. We recommend arriving at the airport about 90 minutes before your flight is scheduled to depart.

What to expect in Eindhoven

Eindhoven is one hour ahead of Manchester and the currency is the Euro (€). The climate in Eindhoven is slightly more extreme than Manchester. During summer it's hotter, with an average temperature of 18°C in July. During winter it's a lot colder: during January you can expect an average temperature of just 2°C. Prices are slightly lower. You'll be spending about £5* less in Eindhoven on a meal for two people, and about 75p* less for a pint of beer. Taxis are slightly more expensive in Eindhoven, however.
