Airlines that fly from Liverpool to Venice
No airlines currently offer direct flights from Liverpool to Venice. Indirect flights are available through some airlines including Vueling (via Barcelona) and Aer Lingus (via Dublin).

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is one of the UK’s busiest airports and has lots of amenities to keep you entertained while you wait for your flight. Food and drink options include fast food joints like Burger King and Subway as well as places for a bigger meal such as JD Wetherspoon and The Kissing Gate. As your flight has a stopover, it’s worth nipping into WH Smith to pick up some reading material for your journey. Liverpool Airport also has a Travelex where you can change your money into Euro, if you haven’t already.

Terminal Information – Arriving
The majority of flights from Liverpool to Venice arrive at Venice Marco Polo Airport, which is about 8 miles from the city centre. There are several ways to get from the airport to the city centre. For those seeking a true taste of Venice, the only real option is the water bus. This service runs every 15 minutes and stops at San Marco, Rialto, Fondamenta Nuove and Le Gugli. Depending on where you’re going in Venice, the journey takes between 38 minutes (to Fondamenta Nuove) and 72 minutes (to San Marco). Tickets can be purchased on the water bus, at the ticket office at the dock, and at the public transport desk inside the arrivals hall.
For a faster journey to the city centre, take the shuttle bus (ACTV urban line 5). This takes 23 minutes to get to Piazzale Roma. Taxis are also available from outside the arrivals area and usually take around 20 minutes to reach the city. Finally, for those that want to explore the towns and villages surrounding Venice, you can arrange car hire at Venice Marco Polo Airport.
Practical Information
As this is an international flight, you should aim to arrive at Liverpool Airport at least two hours before your flight is due to depart. You will need a valid passport to fly from Liverpool to Venice.
What to expect in Venice
