Terminal Information

Liverpool Airport

Liverpool Airport, also known as Liverpool John Lennon Airport is 9 miles south east of the city centre with plenty of regular bus and train services available. You should plan ahead and arrive at the airport approximately 2 hours before your flight to Malaga is scheduled to depart. Easyjet and Ryanair check in options are limited to online and mobile app and this must be completed 2 hours before your flight. Once you arrive at the airport you can drop your luggage at the bag drop desks which close 40 minutes before your flight time; if you have hand luggage only you can head straight to security. After security you will need to locate your gate in the departures lounge, as it can take at least 10 minutes to reach the gates you need to allow plenty of time to reach it before boarding begins.

Whilst waiting in the departures lounge you can browse the array of shops available, many of which offer great savings compared to the high street. JD Sports, WH Smith, Boots and World Duty Free are alongside a beauty bar and currency exchange desks. Starbucks, Joes Coffee House, Subway, Burger King and Frankie and Benny’s offer a great variety of food. There is Wi-Fi access available, free for the first 60 minute period.

Upgrades to your visit to Liverpool Airport are available, these are the Fast Track security pass and access to the Aspire Premium Lounge which can be booked in advance. The lounge offers complimentary drinks and snacks, Wi-Fi, newspapers and magazines.

Malaga Airport

Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport is situated 8km to the south of Malaga on the south coast of Spain. There are 3 terminals at Malaga Airport and both Ryanair and Easyjet flights from Liverpool arrive into Terminal 2.

As Malaga Airport has a convenient location close to Malaga there are a number of easy public transport options available to help you reach the city centre with ease. The A Express Airport bus service departs from outside of the airport and takes just 15 minutes to reach Malaga. The airport has its own train station which can be accessed from the Transport Hub located outside of Terminal 3. Trains from Malaga depart from the station every 20 minutes and you can reach the city centre within 10 minutes.

If you are hiring a car from Malaga Airport you can pick up your keys from the car hire desks located on Floor -1 of Terminal 2.
