What to expect in Jerez

Jerez is an hour ahead of London and the currency is the Euro (€). Jerez is typically warmer than London with daily averages of 11°C in January and 26°C in July and August. London, by comparison, usually averages 7°C in January and 19°C in July and August. Andalucía can be extremely warm, and it’s not uncommon for temperatures to reach the low 40°C s in the height of summer.

As well as being one of the hottest parts of Spain, Andalucía is also one of the most affordable regions. Although Jerez is close to the coast, it’s far enough inland to avoid the inflated prices found in most Spanish coastal towns. Expect to pay less than £30* for a three-course meal for two, around half of what you’d normally pay in London. Beer is also considerable cheaper. While a pint will set you back an average of £4.85* in London, it should cost about £1.90* in Jerez.
