From Stanstead Airport: This one terminal airport provides all of the traveller essentials, from ATMs and bureaus de change to shopping, dining, and drinking options. Pre-flight dining options range from fast food chains like Burger King to more upmarket options such as James Martin Kitchen. Coffee lovers will be pleased with the range of choices which Starbucks, Pret, Costa, and Joes Coffee House. Alternatively, there are a plenty of places to get a drink including Wetherspoons, Coast to Coast, and The Illustrious. For shopaholics, Stanstead has a wide range of popular high street clothing shops including The Body Shop, Fat Face, Next, Ted Baker, and Accessorize. Duty free shopping is also available at World Duty Free while shops like WH Smith offer essentials such as water, newspapers, and snacks for the flight. Free WiFi is available throughout the terminal with a limit of 60 minutes per device per day.

From Luton Airport: Luton Airport also has one terminal and, like Stansted, offers a wide selection of amenities and dining options. Terminal Information – Arriving

Gdansk Airport (Gdansk Lech Wałęsa Airport) is located around 7.5 miles northwest of Gdansk city centre. The PKM rail service connects Gdańsk Port Lotniczy, the airport’s station, to the city centre. Cross the footbridge in the airport’s terminal to reach the train station. Most of the trains go to Gdansk Wrzeszcz while some continue to Gdańsk Główny, the main train station in Gdansk. It’s also possible to get to the city centre by bus. Bus 210 & N3 both go to Gdańsk Główny and the journey takes around 35-50 minutes depending on traffic. Taxis are also available. Avoid the touts that are often seen after security and book your taxi from one of the companies inside the arrivals terminal as these companies offer fixed prices.

Practical Information

Aim to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before your departure time. You will need a valid passport to fly between the UK and Poland. The Polish currency is the Złoty. This can be exchanged in advance at a bureau de change in Stanstead Airport or you can use a cash machine at Gdansk Airport to withdraw money there.
