Airlines that fly from London to Belgrade

Two airlines currently fly direct from London to Belgrade: Wizz Air from London-Luton, and Air Serbia from London-Heathrow.

Terminal Information – Departing

This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.

From Heathrow: Air Serbia fly from terminal 4. Terminal 4 is an extra stop on the Piccadilly Line. If you're taking the Heathrow Express you'll need to hop off at the stop for terminals 1, 2 & 3 and take the tube over to terminal 4. The departure lounge has a fantastic range of places to eat and shop. Grab a bite at Comptoir Libanais, Cafe Rouge or Carluccios before browsing designer stores like Alexander McQueen, Burberry and Cath Kidston.

From Luton: Luton Airport only has one terminal. The departure lounge has a good range of places to eat, drink, and relax. Shops include airport favourites like World Duty Free, WH Smith and Boots as well as a few high street brands like Kurt Geiger and Accessorize. There's also a nail bar and an executive lounge.

Terminal Information – Arriving

You can take a bus, minibus or taxi into the city. Bus 72 leaves the airport for Zeleni Venac twice an hour. Tickets cost RSD 150* (about 95p) if you buy on board or RSD 89* (just over 55p) if you buy from the newsagent inside the airport. This bus takes just under an hour. A faster option is the express minibus, A1, which costs RSD 300* (just over £1.85) per ticket. Taxi fares from the airport are fixed, and depend on which part of the city you're going to. It costs RSD 1400* (about £8.75) to go to New Belgrade and RSD 1800* (about £11.25) to Central Belgrade. Another option is car hire at Belgrade Airport, which you can compare easily with Skyscanner to find the best prices.

Practical Information

We recommend arriving at the airport at least 90 minutes before your flight is scheduled to depart. You need a valid passport to fly from London to Belgrade. You don't need a visa if you're visiting for less than 90 days, but you do need to make sure you get your passport stamped.

What to expect in Belgrade

Belgrade is one hour ahead of London. The currency is the Serbian dinar. Belgrade is a lot cheaper than London, making it a popular choice for a budget weekend break. A three-course meal for two in an average restaurant won't set you back much more than £15*, while a pint of local beer is about 95p*. Temperatures in Belgrade are more extreme than London. Visit in July to enjoy average temperatures of 23°C. If you're visiting in January, you'll need to wrap up warm as the average temperature drops to 2°C.
