Edinburgh Airport has plenty to keep you entertained while you wait to board your flight to Verona. Verona Villafranca Airport (VRN) is just over six miles from the centre of Verona. A shuttle bus service runs between the airport and the city's main train station, Verona Porta Nuova. The service runs every 20 minutes between 6:30 am and 8:30 pm and every 40 minutes until 11:10 pm. The journey takes 15-20 minutes and costs €6*. Tickets can be purchased in advance online, from ticket machines at the airport bus stop or from the driver. Alternatively, taxis are available: expect to pay between €15* and €25* on average.

Car hire at Verona Airport is another option to consider. Hiring a car gives you the freedom to explore the towns and countryside surrounding Verona, including Lake Garda: only an hour’s drive away.
