Edinburgh Airport

You should arrive at Edinburgh Airport at least two hours before the scheduled departure time of your flight to Malaga. If you would prefer to save time at the airport and check in in advance both airlines offer online check in and Ryanair’s app gives you the opportunity to check in via your phone which will store your boarding pass.

Edinburgh Airport has one terminal, here you will find a number of facilities in the departures lounge whilst waiting for your flight to Malaga. Places to eat at Edinburgh Airport include Yo! Sushi, The Gathering Restaurant and The Gathering Deli for takeaway food, Costa and Eat. Shops at the airport cover the basics such as Boots and WHSmith as well as a number of designer fashion and beauty brands so you can pick up some duty free bargains. These include Kurt Geiger, Mac and Hugo Boss.

An upgrade to FastTRACK security is available so you can avoid any long queues when going through security in busy periods. Malaga Airport

Malaga Airport is located 11km south of Malaga with excellent road links to the resorts in Andalucia. Malaga Airport has two terminals which are currently in use Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 with most flights arriving into Terminal 3.

Within Terminal 3 arrivals you will find the car hire desks for a number of car hire companies, these are easily accessed from Terminal 2. A transport hub is located outside of Terminal 3 for onward travel via bus and train. Buses run regularly with an information hub and ticket sales available from the airport. Trains to Malaga and Fuengirola with stops at Benalmadena and Torremolinos run every 20 minutes throughout the day. A journey from Malaga Airport to Malaga takes approximately 11 minutes.
