Terminal Information – Departing
This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.
Air Lingus flights depart from Terminal 2. The terminal has a U.S. Immigration facility, so passengers on flights to America can be pre-cleared with immigration, customs and agriculture inspections. This means that, once you arrive, you're treated like a domestic passenger. Terminal 2's departure lounge has a good selection of shops and a number of places to grab a bite to eat. You can kick back with a hot chocolate in The Chocolate Lounge, raise a glass to your flight in Flutes champagne bar, gaze across the airfield over a pub lunch in The Slaney, or enjoy a snack and a beer at Harvest Market. There are also some coffee shops and sandwich bars near the gates, in case you need a quick last minute snack before hopping on the 'plane.

Practical Information
British and Irish passport holders are eligible to enter the USA for 90 days visa-free, providing they fit the requirements of the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). If you're planning to work in the states, have ever been arrested, or have dual nationality with certain Middle Eastern countries we recommend speaking to the American embassy for more information. Even if you do qualify for the VWP, you'll need to apply for authorisation through the electronic system for travel authorisation (ESTA) at least 72 hours before departure. Due to the pre-clearance, we recommend arriving at Dublin Airport early: at least two and a half hours before scheduled departure.
