Terminal Information – Arriving

The airport is well connected by public and private transport. Water taxis are available at the boat departure point about 10 minute walk from the airport. The price ranges from €100-160* (about £70-112) if you're travelling to the centre of Venice. If you prefer to travel by road, bus number 5 travels from the airport to Piazzale Roma just outside the city centre. Buses are also available to Mestre Railway Station (line 15) as well as the local beach resorts (ATVO) and Alpine ski resorts (Cortina Express). You can purchase bus tickets from the ticket machines in the baggage reclaim area, at the public transport ticket office in the arrivals hall and on-board ATVO and FSBusitalia buses. It's also possible to hire a car at Venice-Marco Polo Airport, and a number of major companies have desks in the arrivals hall.

What to expect in Venice

Venice is one hour ahead of Birmingham and the currency is the Euro (€). Prices in Venice are similar to what you would expect to pay in Birmingham, and at times can be slightly more expensive.
