Terminal Information – Departing
Birmingham Airport has one terminal with everything you need for a relaxing pre-flight experience. Whether you want to shop, eat or relax, there's something to suit every style of traveller.
If you're flying to Brussels on business you might appreciate an hour or two in one of the executive lounges. Aspire and No.1 Traveller both have outposts at the airport. Both offer unlimited Wi-Fi, complimentary snacks and drinks, and a relaxing atmosphere to get a bit of work done. Prices start at £21.99*.
If you want to treat yourself you can indulge in a manicure at Cloud Nails, or do a bit of tax free shopping. There are high street favourites such as Superdry and JD Sports as well as airport mainstays World Duty Free and Dixons Travel. There's also a Boots if you need any last-minute toiletries and a WHSmith if you need something to read during your flight.
There are bars, cafes and restaurants to suit all appetites. Enjoy a coffee and a cake in Costa, a juicy burger at Frankie & Benny's, or a glass of bubbly at the Blanc et Noir champagne bar. Terminal Information – Arriving
Public transport is easily accessed from the arrivals hall. The easiest way to reach the city centre is by train. The station is on floor -1. Belgian Rail trains leave the airport every 15 minutes. Single tickets are €8.50* (about £6) and the journey into Central Station takes about 20 minutes on average. Bus lines 12 and 21 also run between the airport and the city, stopping at metro station Schuman and Luxemburgplein. The journey takes half an hour and tickets cost €4.50* (about £3.15) if you buy them from the vending machine. Buses 272 and 471 connect the airport to Gare du Nord train station. Tickets cost €3* (about £2.10) and are non-transferable. It's also possible to take a taxi: expect to pay about €35* (roughly £25). If you prefer to have your own mode of transport you can hire a car at Brussels Airport.

What to expect in Brussels
Brussels is one hour ahead of Birmingham and the currency is the Euro (€). Prices in Brussels are comparable to what you would pay in Birmingham, and the weather is very similar too.
