Air Europa, Ryanair and Veuling all offer direct flights from Barcelona to Ibiza.
Terminal Information – Departing
This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.
AirEuropa and Vueling flights depart from Terminal 1. This terminal was opened in 2009 and handles 70% of the airport's flights. Shopping and restaurants are located on level 1 (upstairs), while the departure lounge is on level 3. There are plenty of luxury labels and high-street shops to browse in the airport's shopping centre. Take some time to admire the building: it was designed by local architect Ricardo Bofill. Ryanair fly from Terminal 2. There are fewer shops and places to eat in this terminal, but still plenty to keep you going before your flight to Ibiza. Shops include irreverent Spanish label Desigual, British fashion chain Claire's Accessories, Victoria's Secret, Mango, The Sunglass Hut and a duty free shop.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Three buses serve Ibiza Airport. Route 10 runs all year long and connects the airport to Ibiza bus station, Formentera ferry port, the port and San Jorge. Tickets from the airport to the bus station cost €3.50* (about £2.70). The buses run every 15 minutes during July and August, every 20 minutes from April to October, and every half an hour from November to April. Bus route 9 runs between the airport and San Antonio, but only runs during the high season (1st June to 12th October). Tickets cost €4* (about £3.10). Route 24 also runs during the high season from the airport to Sant Eularia and Cala Nova. This route ends earlier, stopping on the 30th September. Tickets cost €4* (about £3.10). Hertz, Avis, Enterprise and Europcar all provide car hire from Ibiza Airport: compare prices now with Skyscanner. There's also a taxi rank at the airport, with a fleet of 69 cars. In Spain tariffs are higher on public holidays, after 3pm on Saturdays, and after 9pm on weekdays.
Practical Information
Try to arrive at the airport at least 90 minutes before your flight to Ibiza is scheduled to depart. You don't need to show your passport while flying between Spanish airports. We recommend that British citizens keep their passports on them anyway, for security reasons.
