Ryanair offers daily, cheap flights from Malaga to Ibiza. Other airlines with direct flights from Malaga to Ibiza include Vueling and Iberia Airlines. If you're planning to fly in the busy summer months, be sure to schedule flights well in advance to get the best fares and schedule. In the summer months, flights and hotels can sell out quickly; however, competition also drives some great bargains. Because Ibiza is part of Spain, you do not need a separate Visa to travel from Malaga to Ibiza. However, British nationals and others should have passports on hand as needed for travel within the EU.

Malaga Airport (AGP) has three terminals, but only two of the terminals are currently in use. Flights from Malaga to Ibiza leave from Terminal 2, the regional flight area which handles most flights within Europe. This terminal has its own car park and entrance separate from Terminal 3, the larger international terminal. Terminal 2 offers quick eats at Café Ritazza and Upper Crust as well as The Express Shop, a duty-free store. Plan to arrive at the airport at least an hour in advance.

A few miles south of Ibiza Town, Ibiza Airport (IBZ) has a single terminal with two floors. Car hire and other services can all be found on the ground floor near baggage reclaim. Restaurants such as Burger King and StrEat as well as a pharmacy and duty-free shops can all be found on the second floor, past security. Café Ritazza near the terminal entrance offers quick eats on the go. Just outside the terminal, taxis and regular buses transport visitors around the island at affordable rates.

What to Expect in Ibiza

A small island with a rich history, Ibiza has much to see. Small roads can be tricky to travel, but there is no other way to see many of the island's best sights. Make sure to plan car hire and hotel reservations well in advance, especially if arriving during the summer months. The good news is that it's possible to drive around the entire island in a day.

Weather in Ibiza

Like Malaga, Ibiza has a temperate climate with seasonal changes and very little rainfall. However, due to being farther north and surrounded by water, Ibiza is usually a couple of degrees cooler. Both Malaga and Ibiza will be much warmer and much drier than the UK. If travelling during a heat wave, coming from Malaga to Ibiza may mean some relief from the heat. Be sure to dress for warm weather.
