Travellers need travel authorization to visit Cape Verde for Business or Tourism stays up to 30 days. Travellers need a visa for longer stays.

The Electronic Travel Authorization (EASE) for Cape Verde is required for visa-exempt visitors entering Cape Verde. It is an online application. If approved, travellers will receive an eTA confirmation electronically. When travellers arrive in Cape Verde, the border crossing will ask for a passport and check electronic records to ensure travellers have the proper visa.

Travellers unable to complete the EASE before arrival can complete the EASE upon arrival, but may be subject to an additional fee.

A visa is required for travel over 30 days.

Travellers need a valid passport to enter Cape Verde. The traveller's passport must remain valid for at least 6 months after the traveller arrives in Cape Verde.

Travellers should consider:

• Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B vaccines;
• Typhoid vaccine for visits to smaller cities or rural areas;
• Routine vaccines including Measles.

Travellers must complete the pre-registration form online a minimum of 5 days before travelling to Cape Verde. Travellers must know that the maximum time for completing the online form is 20 minutes.
