 Getting to & from the Airport

Driving hide 

Located just 5 minutes from Dubai City Centre, Dubai International Airport can easily be reached by car via the airport road which runs south-east from the city centre on the eastern side of Dubai Creek.

From the City Centre and North – Take the Airport Road from the south-east and follow signs for the airport.

From Sharjah and the East – Take the AlIttihad Road towards Dubai, connecting to Airport Road where signs lead you to the airport.

From the South – Drive north on the Al Garhoud Bridge then turn right onto Airport Road following signs to the airport.

Trains hide 

Dubai Metro runs at 10 minute intervals between stations throughout the city. When it is completed in 2012 is will be the longest driverless metro train in the world.

Buses hide 

There are many bus services that run from all the Dubai Airport terminals, taking passengers to the city centre and over 80 hotels.

Buses operate 24 hours a day and are fully air-conditioned, taking just 30 minutes to reach the city centre.

The two routes that are currently in place from Dubai International Airport are bus 401 that runs from the airport to Al Sankha Bus Station via the Deira section of Dubai and the 402 that runs from the airport to Al Ghubaiba Bus Station via the Deira Centre shopping district.

Taxi hide 

Taxis are the most popular way of travelling to and from Dubai International Airport. Metered cabs are a distinctive red and cream colour and operate in their thousands.

A more interesting way to travel to Dubai International Airport is by water taxi between Bur Deira across Dubai Creek. These fully air-conditioned water taxis take just a few minutes to reach the airport.
