Terminal Information – Departing
Glasgow-International Airport has one terminal. The departure lounge has a good range of places to eat, shop and relax. There's something to suit every appetite, whether you just want to grab a quick snack or fancy a sit-down meal. Upper Crust is great for a sandwich, Starbucks is essential if you're on the early flight, and The Sandpiper is perfect if you're in the mood for pub grub. There's even a Frankie & Benny's, if you're in the mood for a bit of Italian American flavour. If you're in the mood for splashing the cash you can indulge at World Duty Free and Maplin. The airport also has a WHSmith and a Boots, perfect for grabbing those last-minute essentials. There's a soft-play area for kids, half an hour of free Wi-Fi for every passenger, and an executive lounge (the UpperDeck). The lounge lets you kick off your holiday in style, with comfy seats, unlimited internet access and a complimentary selection of snacks and drinks.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Venice-Marco Polo Airport has one terminal. Numerous transport options are available to get you into the city. The most romantic, convenient and expensive option is water taxi. The boat departure point is a short walk from the terminal. Expect to pay about €100-160* (about £70-112) for the trip. This does get you right into the city centre, however, as there are no roads. If you don't mind a bit of a walk you can take bus number 5, which stops at Piazzale Roma car park outside the city walls. If you're heading somewhere other than Venice you can find buses to Mestre Railway station, the coastal beach towns, and the Alpine ski resorts. You can buy your tickets at the machine in baggage reclaim, the public transportation ticket office in the terminal, or from the drivers of the ATVO and FSVbusitalia buses. You can hire a car at Venice-Marco Polo Airport: remember to compare prices with Skyscanner first.
