The airlines offering connecting flights to Florence usually depart from terminal 1. As Scotland's second busiest airport, Glasgow International has plenty to keep you entertained before boarding your flight. There are plenty of shops, including airport favourites like WH Smith, World Duty Free and Boots. Other stores include Swarovski, Jo Malone and The Fashion Place. If you're peckish you can grab a bite to eat at Upper Crust, Starbucks, Fresh Food Central and plenty more. There are two pubs at the airport, too: Tennent's Pier Bar and the Caledonia Bar & Restaurant. Free Wi-Fi is available for one hour, after which you need to pay (£5* for three hours, £9* for 24 hours). If you want to splash out you can check into the airport's UpperDeck lounge for £20* per person.

Terminal Information – Arriving

Florence Airport is about five miles from the city centre. It takes 15 minutes to reach the city by road. An airport shuttle (Ataf-Sita Vola in Bus) runs between the airport and the central station every half hour. Tickets cost €6*. Taxis from the airport to the historic centre charge €20* flat-rate, with an additional €1* added for every piece of baggage. Car hire at Florence Airport is provided by Auto Europa, Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National and Sixt. None of them are based at the airport, however there's a free shuttle bus which runs from the airport every 20 minutes.
