Airlines that fly from Venice to London
British Airways fly from Venice-Marco Polo Airport to London Gatwick and London-Heathrow. BA CityFlyer offers seasonal flights to London-City. easyJet fly to London-Luton, London-Southend and London-Gatwick. Monarch Airlines and Tui both offer seasonal flights to London-Gatwick.
Ryanair fly from Venice-Treviso Airport to London-Stansted.
Terminal Information – Departing
Both airports have just one terminal.
From Marco Polo: The airport departure lounge has plenty of designer shops to browse while you wait for your flight. If you don't feel like flexing your credit card too much, the departure lounge also has a few duty free, souvenir and magazine shops. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the airport, with something to suit every taste. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the terminal. If you're travelling on business it's worth checking into the Marco Polo Club VIP lounge. Access costs €28* (just over £22). The lounge offers a peaceful environment, complimentary refreshments and better internet access: ideal if you have a spot of work to finalise.
From Treviso: the airport has a small departure lounge. There are three shops (Elite Travel Retail, HUB Megastore and World of Venice) and a bar.
Terminal Information – Arriving
At London-City: the airport only has one terminal. Buses and DLR trains connect the airport to the city centre. Taxis from this airport are reasonably priced due to its proximity to central London.
At London-Gatwick: Monarch Airlines and easyJet land in the south terminal, while British Airways and Tui land in the north terminal. The airport's train station is in the south terminal, but there's a free inter-terminal shuttle. Choose from the super-fast and more expensive express train or the slightly slower commuter train. Coaches are also available from the airport, but must be pre-booked.
At London-Heathrow: British Airways land at terminal 5. The terminal has its own terminal which is served by the Heathrow Express. It also has a tube station where you can hop onto the Piccadilly Line.
At London-Luton: Luton Airport only has one terminal. Shuttle buses are available to the nearby train station, Luton Airport Parkway, where you can hop onto the express train to the city centre. Coaches also call at the airport: remember to pre-book your ticket.
At London-Southend: Frequent trains run between the airport and Liverpool Street station.
At London-Stansted: Stansted Airport only has one terminal. Transport options include coach, train, and taxi.
Practical Information
You need a valid passport to fly from Venice to London. We recommend arriving at the airport no later than 90 minutes before your flight is scheduled to depart.
What to expect in London
London is one hour behind Venice and the currency is the pound sterling (£). London is slightly more expensive than Venice. It's not too noticeable when it comes to food, but you'll definitely notice when it comes to cappuccino and beer. London has a milder climate than Venice.
