Newquay Airport

Newquay Cornwall Airport is a small airport serving the Cornwall region in the south west of England located 6 miles from Newquay and 20 miles from Truro. You should arrive at Newquay Airport at least one hour before your flight is due to depart. When flying with Flybe you can check in at the airport check-in desks, the self service kiosks, or the recommended online check-in. Web check-in for Flybe flights opens 36 hours before the flight and closes 2 hours before. You will need to print your boarding pass and remember to take it to the airport.

The departure lounge at Newquay Airport is small and as a result the facilities are limited. There is a Coffee Republic Bar in the departure lounge which also has a small shop for gifts. There is a premium lounge which you can upgrade to for £10 per person, here you will enjoy a quiet area with televisions, WI-FI and complimentary refreshments.

Newquay Airport offers free Wi-Fi throughout the building.

Manchester Airport

Manchester Airport has three terminals and Flybe flights from Newquay arrive into Terminal 3. The airport is located 10 miles south of Manchester city centre is well connected to key destinations in the north west of England such as Chester, Liverpool and Preston.

The Terminal 3 Arrivals Hall has a small selection of facilities such as Café Nero, WHSmith and a Spar store as well as a number of onward travel options.

One of the quickest ways to reach Manchester city centre is by train. It will take around 5-10 minutes to walk from Terminal 3 to the train station and from here you can take Northern Rail services into Manchester Piccadilly Station with a journey time of around 20 minutes. Trains depart approximately every 10 minutes.  Bus and tram services depart from the airport and ideal for those travelling around the outskirts of the city centre.

All car hire companies at Manchester Airport are located together in an off-site Car Rental Village which you can reach via shuttle bus. If you're taking a taxi from the airport to the city centre you should expect to pay £25-30 depending on your destination and time of travel, a trip will take around 25 minutes.

Practical Information

British citizens do not need to carry a passport for travel on domestic flights within the UK. Carrying some form of photographic ID is still required such as a driving licence, Citizen Card or expired passport. You should confirm the ID you are intending to use is considered acceptable with Flybe.
