Terminal Information – Departing
This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.
Flights to Leeds usually depart from Heathrow's Terminal 5. Check your ticket before you go to the airport. Heathrow is a massive airport and arriving at the wrong terminal can be extremely inconvenient. Terminal 5 has its own dedicated stops on the Heathrow Express and the Piccadilly Line. Some trains bypass Terminal 5 in favour of Terminal 4, so check the route carefully before boarding. Once you get to Terminal 5 you can really relax. There are plenty of designer stores for window-shopping, posh restaurants if you fancy a bite to eat, and an Aspire Lounge where you can chill-out or get a bit of work done. For an extra fee you can indulge in the spa or sample the carefully curated cocktail menu.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Leeds Bradford Airport only has one arrivals terminal. Public transport is widely available. National Express and Megabus run between the airport and Leeds Coach Station. Tickets can be bought on board, but we recommend booking in advance for lower prices and to avoid disappointment on busy days. You can take Flying Tiger buses to the region's train stations. These buses have powerpoints and Wi-Fi so you can whip out your laptop or charge your phone while browsing social media. Arrow Cars private hire cabs operate from the airport. If you prefer to have your own transport you can hire a car at Leeds Bradford Airport: remember to compare prices on Skyscanner first.
Practical Information
You don't need a passport to fly on routes within the UK and the Common Travel Area. For security purposes you will need to show some photographic ID. Driving licenses and passports that have expired within the past two years are fine, but check British Airways website for a full list of approved ID types.
