Terminal Information – Departing
This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.
From Gatwick: Vueling fly to Barcelona from the north terminal, while Iberia fly to Madrid from the south terminal. Both terminals at Gatwick have a wide range of shops, restaurants, bars and lounges. Double-check your terminal once you arrive at the airport. The train station is in the south terminal, so you will need to take the inter-terminal shuttle if you're departing from the north.
From Heathrow: Vueling fly to Barcelona from terminal 3 and Iberia fly to Madrid from terminal 5. Terminal 5 is an extra stop on the train or tube. Terminal 5 is renowned for its designer shops and high-end restaurants. Enjoy a pre-flight meal at Gordon Ramsay's Plane Food, or browse shops like Paul Smith and Burberry. Terminal 3 also has a good range of places to eat and shop, whether you're in the mood for high-street fare or something higher end.
Terminal Information – Arriving
There are six buses from the airport to the city centre: the E20, E21, E23, E28, E27 and E77. The journey takes around 45 minutes and one-way tickets cost €2* (just over £1.50). There's a taxi rank outside the airport. As in the rest of Spain, fares are cheaper on weekdays before 10pm and after 7am. Avis, Enterprise, Europcar and Hertz all offer car hire from San Sebastian Airport.
Practical Information
You need a valid passport to fly from London to San Sebastian. We recommend arriving around 90 minutes before your flight is scheduled to depart, giving yourself extra time if you're flying during the summer or in the early evening.
