Airlines that fly from Edinburgh to Venice
Jet2 and British Airways CityFlyer both offer direct flights from Edinburgh to Venice Marco Polo Airport on a seasonal basis.
Indirect flights to Venice with one connection are available throughout the year from Brussels Airlines via Brussels, KLM via Amsterdam and Air France via Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Terminal Information
Edinburgh Airport
With one terminal you will find Edinburgh Airport easy to get around. The check in hall is located on the ground floor and if you have checked in online with just hand luggage you can go directly to the first floor to the security area then into the departures lounge.
Jet2 and British Airways have check in desks at the airport as well as online check in options. British Airways also have self service kiosks and bag drop desks. Both airlines open their check in desks 3 hours before the flight to Venice, you should confirm closing times with your airline. Arriving at the airport 2 hours before your flight is suggested as it gives enough time to reach the departures lounge and locate your gate with time to relax before boarding begins.
Airport shopping is a great way to pass the time whilst waiting for your flight. You can pick up duty free deals at World Duty Free, or travel essentials from WH Smith, Superdrug Wellbeing and Boots. Luxury fashion and beauty labels such as Kurt Geiger, Hugo Boss and MAC are among the many other shops here. You are well catered for when it comes to food and drink with a great selection of popular cafes and restaurants: EAT, Costa, The Gathering, Yo! Sushi, Thermidors Seafood and Flutes and Tails Champagne bar are just a few of those available.

Venice Marco Polo Airport
There are two airports which serve the city of Venice, Venice Marco Polo Airport is the closest of the airport's to Venice, just 14km away. Venice Marco Polo Airport has one terminal, the arrivals hall is located on the ground floor. There are car hire desks, ticket desks for onward travel and a currency exchange desk.
You can reach Venice from Venice Marco Polo Airport by boat, taxi or bus. If you are travelling by bus there are a number of ferry routes available. The AirportLink boat is the most direct taking 30 minutes to reach Venice with single fares starting from €25. Alilaguna ferry services take longer, approximately 1 hour 15 minutes depending on your route and departing point, single fares start from €15. Upon arrival at the airport you should head to the ferry passenger meeting point then take a 10 minute walk to the boarding points.
There are a number of bus services available running to various destinations in the city centre and surrounding areas. Ticket sales and travel information points can be found in the arrivals hall.
