The airport operates a “silent airport” policy meaning that no flight announcements are made. Instead, passengers need to keep an eye on information screens around the departure lounge for details about their flight,
Despite its small size, the airport still offers a good range of facilities for passengers. The departure lounge is also home to a Travelex currency exchange, food outlets Pret A Manger and Panopolis, and shops including WHSmith and a duty free store. The duty free store offers a Collect on Return service, so you can pick up any bulky or fragile purchases when you arrive back at London City Airport after your trip.
