Terminal Information – Departing

Southampton Airport has one terminal. The departure lounge has a small but good range of shops. There's a WH Smith for stocking up on snacks and magazines to enjoy during the flight, and a World Duty Free for picking up luxury items at a slightly lower price. Grab a coffee and a sandwich at Costa, or sit down for a more substantial meal at The Olive Tree. There's another bar and restaurant before security, The Globe. Southampton airport offers four hours of free Wi-Fi, so you can get a bit of work done (or just check social media) while you wait to board. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle you can check into the Priority Lounge. Access starts at £10* per person. Inside you can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, snacks and drinks.

Terminal Information – Arriving

Liverpool Airport has one terminal. Getting into the city is easy, with lots of public transport and a taxi rank. The 500 Airport Express bus and the Terravision coach offer a fast way to reach the city. Local buses 80, 81, 82A and 89 also serve the airport. Their ticket prices are cheaper but the journey time is longer. If you're travelling to Liverpool on business you might need to take Merseytravel 883 to Huyton industrial Estate. Taxis from the airport charge about £15* for the trip into Liverpool city centre: they have meters so this can vary. Car hire at Liverpool Airport is available from a range of big name brands, and you'll find their desks in the arrivals hall.

Practical Information

You won't need your passport if you're flying via Belfast or Dublin, as both cities are in the Common Travel Area. You will need to bring some airline approved ID, such as your driving license. Check the airline website for a full list. If you're flying via Amsterdam you will need your passport as you're passing (briefly) through the Schengen Zone.
