Terminal Information

Newcastle Airport

Newcastle Airport, 6 miles to the north of Newcastle city centre is easily accessed by road, bus and the metro which has a station at the airport. Passengers flying from Newcastle to Tenerife should aim to arrive at the airport at least two hours before their scheduled flight departure time. Online and airport check in are available for all airlines apart from Easyjet whose passengers must check in online or using their mobile app at least 2 hours before their flight time.

There is one terminal at Newcastle Airport and the departure lounge is home to a great selection of food, drink and shopping options. Shops cover all of the airport basics such as duty free, WH Smith, Boots as well as Accessorize and JD Sports. You can either choose from fast food and snacks at Burger King, Starbucks and Greggs or gastro-pub meals and real ales at The Beer House and Bar 11.

Other facilities in the departure lounge include an Aerospa for quick pre-flight beauty treatments, a games arcade, Travelex currency exchange and up to 45 minutes of free Wi-Fi.

Tenerife South Airport

After arriving at Tenerife South Airport you will have limited onward travel options available to reach your destination, these are car hire, taxi or the local bus services.

Bus services are operated by Titsa and run from outside the airport to Tenerife North Airport and resorts such as Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos and Puerto de la Cruz regularly throughout the day.

Car hire companies such as Goldcar, Hertz and Avis are located in the arrivals hall. The airport enjoys a convenient location on the TF-1 coastal motorway which runs from the north to the south of the island through the main resorts so those hiring a car can easily make their way around the island.
