Those travelling from Manchester to Knock will need to arrive at Manchester Airport around 2 hours before the flight to Knock is scheduled to depart, arriving before check-in closes and giving yourself enough time to go through security checks then find your gate within the departure lounge before the boarding gate closes. Knock Airport
Knock Airport also known as Ireland West Airport, in County Mayo, 20km from Knock village and 6km from the town of Charleston is a small regional airport with one terminal.
The onward travel options from the airport include taxi, car hire or bus. There are three main direct bus services which are operated by Bus Eireann running from the airport to key destinations in West Ireland such as Galway, Castlebar, Ballina, Derry, Sligo, Westport and Achill Island. If you’re travelling to Knock you will need to take the 64 bus to Galway which departs approximately every 2 hours with a journey time of 20 minutes.
Taxis from Knock Airport to Knock will cost around €25 euros, available from outside of the airport terminal. Alternatively, you can hire a car from Knock Airport and collect the keys from the desks within the arrivals hall. Car hire companies operating at the airport are Budget, Avis, Europcar and Hertz.

Knock is a small village which although best known for the Knock Shrine its now more commonly a gateway to a number of popular tourist destinations in the West of Ireland.
