Airlines flying from London to Pristina
Germania are the only airline who offer direct flights from London to Pristinia, Kosovo. Flights depart from London Gatwick Airport.
Terminal Information
London Gatwick Airport
There are two terminals at Gatwick Airport, the North and the South which are connected by a shuttle train. Germania flights to Pristina depart from the South Terminal and you should arrive at Gatwick Airport at least 3 hours before your flight is scheduled to depart. Currently Germania only offer check-in at the airport and do not currently offer any online check-in facilities.
The South Terminal at Gatwick Airport offers an enjoyable shopping and dining experience to help pass the time whilst you're waiting for your flight. There's the shops such as Boots, WHSmith, World Duty Free and Dixons Travel as well as a large choice of both high street and designer fashion brands such as Kurt Geiger, Fatface, Superdry, Ted Baker, Jo Malone and Mango as well as World of Whiskies, Case and Snow + Rock.
There is 90 minutes of free Wi-Fi access available at Gatwick.
Pristina Airport
Pristina International Airport is located 16km from the capital of Kosovo, Pristina. The Pristina Airport Arrivals Hall is relatively small and has car rental desks and an information point. Public transport from Pristina Airport is extremely limited and you will need to either hire a car from the airport or take a taxi.
Taxis from Pristina Airport to Pristina should cost around €15-20 and haggling a price with the taxi driver before setting off is commonplace.
Car hire companies operating at Pristina Airport include Europcar, Interrent, Sixt, and many Kosovan companies. It will take around 30 minutes to reach Pristina.
What to expect in Pristina
You may be surprised at how much further your money will go in Pristina compared to London, the majority of your trips will cost at most half of what you would pay in London. The currency of Kosovo is the Euro; a typical evening meal for two will cost around €14, lunch will be around €6, and a beer is approximately €1.50.
